Splinter Cell: Double Agent
I get really bad with video games – when I get into one it is always on the back of my mind. Some games are worse than others – Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 for example – fuck, I was consumed by that game. If I wasn’t playing it, I was reading about it, thinking about it, talking about it – hell, I even dreamt about it. I remember a month long period where it was all me and my roommate did. It worked out great too because he slept during the day, so I would get up at 8am and play it just as he was finishing it off.
Anyway – I got that way with Splinter Cell too. Not that it is a great game by any means, but it is fun enough and well worth the $15 or $20 I paid for it. I picked it up on the weekend and just found it hard to do anything else till I beat the whole game. So today I decided to play it and that I did – from 10am to 3pm with a lunch break in between that is pretty much all I did today. Also managed to get over 500 gamerscore points with the one playthrough for the achievement challenge, so nice to add another game to the list. It’s not a very long game, and online really sucks on it, so it would make a really nice rental for anyone interested. Not sure yet if I will go through it again or just sell it. According to the EB Games TIV List the trade in value is just $3, so I might just get the wife to try selling it over Kijiji or something.
