Getting excited!
Well it’s less than 6 days till I turn 28. And on that day, I head off for two weeks on a trip, where I will first visit Edmonton to hang out with my two good buddies Frank and Marky Mark. We’ll then go and see Norm MacDonald live 3 times in one day. Next, I head over to Scotland where I will hang out with my mum and sister for a few days, meet some friends and try not to run into any of the maniacs over there trying to kill me.
After that, it’s down to London to attend an affiliate conference, where I’ll spend my time partying it up, meeting lots of my friends in the industry, and negotiating lots and lots of deals to make 2009 my best year yet in this business.
Finally it’s to Manchester, to visit my good internet friend Taff, where we will party it up, make pathetic jokes and then head out to watch the Man U vs Everton game.
Yes – it is going to be a great trip. And the more it gets closer, the more excited I will be. However……..I’m not exactly excited for the above reasons. I mean yes for sure – they are all awesome and I am looking forward to them……
….but I’m kinda excited for another reason.
That reason? Well, I’m going to spend an hour flying to Toronto. 2 hours at Toronto. 5 hours flying to Edmonton. Then 5 hours back to Toronto. Then 5 hours stuck at Toronto airport. Then an 8 hour flight to London. 2 hours stuck at London. Then a 1 hour flight to Glasgow. Then a 1 hour flight to London. Then a 2 hour train to Manchester. Then a 30 minute flight to London. Then a 4 hour wait at London airport. Followed by an 8 hour flight to Toronto. Then a 4 hour wait at Toronto airport, before 1 hour flight to Kingston.
So what exactly does all this mean? Why am I excited about all this? Because my dear readers….
….during all that downtime, I can watch The Shield!!!
Yes, I will have my Ipod Touch, my Ipod Video, and 2 different chargers with me the whole trip so I never run out of juice. And as I am super into The Shield, I can basically spend all that waiting time just blasting through the whole series. I’m almost done season 1 right now, so I’m going to finish that off, then wait till my trip before I watch the rest of it.
Yep – I wrote all those words just to say I liked the Shield. But really – it’s fucking awesome.
