Hey being an asshole actually works!

I wrote on here awhile ago about how I felt lately about how I had went too far in regard to politeness when dealing with companies etc, to the point where I was basically being a pushover.  Well I’m still waiting for my replacement monitors from Samsung, despite repeated phone calls from me.  I spoke to them December 5th and got ahold of a manager, and he asked me to send the receipt in again and he’d get taken care of.  It was a nice, polite conversation – and of course, he didn’t take care of it.

So I called back today, immediately said I wanted to speak to a manager, and lo and behold I got to speak to that manager again.  This time I let him have it.  I ranted for 5 minutes about how atrocious I had been treated, how poor the customer service is, and how poor he was as a manager, and that if I didn’t get my replacement monitors shipped out by the end of this telephone call, I’d be going higher up and making sure his boss knows what a useless cunt he was.  Yes, I called him a useless cunt.

After my rant, he asked to put me on hold for a minute.  I told him nope, anything you want to do you can do it with me on the line, and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes to get through, then another 5 minutes to speak to him, I wasn’t going to be fucking put on hold again.

End result?  Two new replacement monitors will be arriving in 5 days.  Yay.
