Holy Viruses Batman

Also holy update – only been a year and a half since my last blog update.

Only reason I am updating is I completely forgot about this site until Google sent me an e-mail letting me know there was viruses on it. Actually they sent me an e-mail awhile ago and I thought I dealt with it – but apparently not as they notified me again. Crap.

I’ve spent the last 20 minutes hopefully sorting all that out now. Crazy the things the viruses do – well really, not virus. They just inject all these crappy spammy links on the site.

I think I got it all sorted out now thankfully. It’s really neat how they do it though – like I see a TON of backdoors they’ve added and they’ve added them in the root as “wp-ebca.php” and shit like that so you think it’s a WordPress file.

Honestly I’m not too concerned about this site specifically – but once they get in here, you never know where they could get in my network. Would really suck for them to get into Simple Forms for example. Thank christ I do daily/weekly/monthly backups to help cover me.

So yeah I’ve got everything I think for the 1 person that visits this site haha. I’ll keep checking to make sure it’s all gone. Don’t expect many more updates over here – sadly don’t have the time, even if I do want to archive Scotsmanality somewhere one day.
