Too many good TV Shows!
I was just thinking last night about how there are too many TV shows these days that I enjoy. About 18 months ago, there was only one TV show I actually watched – The Office. It was great because it meant that I had a lot more time on my hands and read a lot more books – whether it was the popcorn trash like John Grisham and James Patterson, or books on internet marketing and search engine optimization. However since then, I’ve got the TV bug in a bad way, and been watching all these old shows that I just never got into or hadn’t watched in awhile.
Let’s see – over the past 18 months I watched every episode of Seinfeld, Frasier, Two and a Half Men, Newsradio, Two Guys A Girl and a Pizza Place, Scrubs, Inspector Gadget, Corner Gas, The Critic and King of Queens. I’ve also watched the first two seasons of Dexter, as well as the first two seasons of Criminal Minds three times, and the third season twice. I also watched The Apprentice(US) Season 1-4, have 5 sitting here and still hunting out the latter seasons on torrent sites. That reminds me – I still haven’t watched the Celebrity Apprentice finale! Fuck! I’ve also went through a bunch of UK sitcoms like Still Game, One Foot in the Grave, Keeping Up Appearances and Rising Damp.
Currently – I’m working my way through Entourage(just started season 4 – one of my favourite shows ever) during the day, and at night watching Mad About You, which is a lame as hell show to be honest, but I own every episode so feel I owe it to myself to watch them all. Aside from that, I’ve also started watching NCIS, watched the first 8 episodes and have the first two seasons here to hopefully go through.
But wait – it isn’t over yet! There are still so many more shows I aim to watch. I currently have sitting here the first seasons of Las Vegas, Arrested Development, Law & Order: SVU and How I Met Your Mother. The latter is a show Vin is watching and goes on about how great it is. I have no idea if it is actually any good, but I saw a tagline for it which said “Like Friends, with 5 people” and being a huge Friends fan I have to give it a try.
I also have a list of TV shows I still have to go through. Sopranos is a must, and I stopped watching Womens Murder Club halfway through the first season, so have to get back into that. I’d also love to go through every episode of the Simpsons and Family Guy, as I’ve only watched them sparingly over the last few years. I have aspirations of watching every episode of 24, all CSIs and Law and Orders, and also have a note to try out Six Feet Under and The Unit. Oh, plus I really need to go through The Ultimate Fighter season 2 onwards again as those were others I didn’t watch as much as I should’ve. Oh yeah – and I bought every episode of Prisoner Cell Block H many moons ago – which is about 600 hours worth of fucking television!
I wish I could say I was finished, but then there is a whole bunch of other sitcoms I watched at some point in my life, either most of them or just a few episodes and it caught my interest. Those include Ellen, Becker, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Me, Malcolm In The Middle, My Name is Earl, Boy Meets World, Saved by the Bell, Roseanne, Spin City and the Wonder Years. Yikes.
I guess that is one of the good things about working from home though – I actually can watch all this! Sure it won’t be done overnight, but I’m still able to watch these during the day for the most part(except when doing content writing and have to concentrate). It’s just such a change from 18 months ago when I watched fucking nothing – kind of weird to realize all these great shows that I’ve missed.

Don’t forget you have to watch Friday Night Lights too.
Forgot about that one – sigh.
