Oh Football Manager, why must you tease me so

Anyone that knows me, knows my addiction to simulation/manager type games.  I ended up breaking in half a bunch of CDs I had that contained games for the PC, like Command and Conquer, Civilization etc.  The reason is quite simply because I get too fucking hooked on them, and will waste my whole day playing them.  The only game that doesn’t fall into that category is Football Manager, previous known as Championship Manager, which I’ve played since it first came out in 1992.  There was a brief period where I boycotted the product in 2003-2005, however apart from that I’ve purchased every edition of the game, usually on release day.

And so today was that time of year again, where Football Manager was released for North Americans, known here as Worldwide Soccer Manager 2009.  The game is bought, the game is installed, and the game is ready to play.  Yet I am not currently playing it, nor have I all morning.

The reason?

I have to fucking work 🙁

I didn’t work on the weekend, and yesterday I really wasn’t in the mood for it that much either.  I wrote some content yesterday, but you really have to be in the mood to write content and I just wasn’t, so I stopped and uh….I don’t really remember what I did yesterday.

I’ll write a brief summary of the last few days soon to catch everyone up.  Current To Do List: 36. Wasn’t this at 14 just a few days ago?  Sigh.
